If you’ve never been to Crystal Mountain we have a few pointers to make your trip even more enjoyable:
- Plan ahead. Check out the weather, pack the night before, print-out driving directions .
- Crystal’s weather can change by the minute, so be ready by dressing in layers. Avoid wearing cotton next to your skin and make sure your outer layer is water-repellant.
- If you’re planning on either renting equipment or taking lessons make sure you’re up here no later 9am to allow plenty of time to get organized.
- Be careful not to drink too much coffee on the way up, restrooms few and far between.
- Once you arrive, following parking attendants to one of our lettered parking lots. Catch the shuttle which will deliver you right to the heated plaza and ticketing windows. Remember which lot you parked in as only certain shuttles return to each lot.
- If you’re renting or taking lessons, you can by-pass the lift ticket windows and proceed directly to the Rental Shop or the Ski & Snowboard School Office. Both are located just past the ticket windows to the left of the main stairs.
- Restrooms, which you’ll probably need to visit straight off are located on lower level of the main lodge just to the right of the main stairs.
- If you’d like to store your boots or pack, we have two systems. Coin-operated lockers are available in the rental shop and in the restrooms. If you need to access your belongings throughout the day, we suggest using Stor-A-Ski located right at the base of the slopes to the top of the main stairs on your left. They will store your pack and also watch your skis and board throughout the day.
- Now, if you’re dressed, ticketed, all signed-in for your lessons and have a few minutes to spare, why not fuel-up with a tummy warming beverage and snack from the Market Espresso. It’s located right in the base plaza, to the right of the ticket windows.
- Familiarize yourself with the mountain by picking up a free trail map and also reviewing the Skier/Rider Responsibility Code .
- Drink plenty of water throughout the day. Even though you might feel cold, your body is using up lots of water by keeping you both warm and upright!
- If you’re hungry, try eating lunch at the new Campbell Basin Lodge located at the top to the Forest Queen chairlift.
- Snowboard leashes are required on all snowboards. Leashes are available for purchase at the Right Angle Sports Shop.
